Why do I need to link attorneys to users?

Once the new version of Lawlab is released to your database, the record information will lose the information in the attorney field if the attorney was not linked to a user. This may affect your ability to produce reports based on attorneys assigned to records.

To make sure that your attorneys are linked to users, log in to your database with your admin credentials. Upon login, if you have unlinked attorneys, you will be directed to the Attorney page by default. And a red warning at the top of the screen will display:

Then, simply click on the Edit option to assign a user to the attorneys and select the user to link it to from the drop-down list. You may need to create new users if the attorneys don’t have an existing user already.
