Many parts of life are affected when ICE takes a loved one or community member.

Community advocates and Oregon legal aid attorneys have gathered these resources to help navigate common challenges faced by families and friends after an ICE detention. Each info sheet is designed to be a general guide around a specific topic such as dealing with a landlord, what to do if a car was towed, or how to talk to a loved one’s employer.

Check back often as new resources are added and information is updated.

This information was prepared by community advocates and attorneys. The information is specific to Oregon. It is not legal advice nor a substitute for individualized legal advice supplied by a legal representative familiar with a person’s case. It is not a substitute for independent research and investigation, and not all resources or contact information may be included or current.
