ESTANCIA, NM – In May, 2022, Innovation Law Lab, represented by the ACLU of New Mexico (ACLU NM), submitted a request for information under the federal Freedom of Information Act and New Mexico’s Inspection of Public Records Act regarding the operation, conditions and inspections of the Torrance County Detention Facility (TCDF). You can find more about those requests as well as links to copies of each here.
In response to those requests, we have received thousands of pages of documents and are working with ACLU NM to organize the documents produced by ICE and the Torrance County Attorney’s Office thus far and share a summary.
