Aliya Naim.

Aliya Naim is the Associate Director of Legal Operations at Innovation Law Lab and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2011 with a BA in International Affairs and Arabic, and obtained her MA in Migration and Diaspora Studies from SOAS University of London in 2015, where she did research on the Syrian refugee crisis and on countering violent extremism legislation in the UK. She has been working in the immigrant rights field since 2016. She started her work at at Innovation Law Lab in 2019, coordinating pro se workshops for asylum seekers in rapid removal proceedings in Atlanta, and began working with Equity Corps of Oregon in 2021.
