Jasnit Kaur Tiwana.

Jasnit Tiwana is a Second-Year OWR Fellow in Innovation Law Lab’s Portland office. As a member of an immigrant family, Jasnit grew up in a household where immigration was a common topic. Prior to law school, Jasnit attended Oregon State University and graduated with her B.S.s in Business Management and Marketing. Throughout college, her interest in pursuing a career in the law and social justice remained persistent. She volunteered with underserved and underrepresented communities to provide equitable resources to those that needed it the most. Following her time at OSU, she attended and received her J.D. from Willamette University. During law school, Jasnit participated in Willamette’s Immigration Clinic for multiple semesters, primarily working with asylum, SIJS, and U-visa applicants. She also worked as a law clerk at Legal Aid Services of Oregon to support victims of domestic violence, unlawful evictions, and provided legal support for family law matters.
