Kami Cruz Skolmoski.

Kami Cruz Skolmoski is a Program Manager and DOJ-Accredited Representative with Innovation Law Lab, where she has worked since 2023. She earned her master’s degree in International Policy and Development from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in 2023. In recognition of her commitment to advancing human rights, Kami was awarded the Jan Knippers Black Fund for Human Rights Protections in her final year at The Institute. In 2022, she served as an intern with a human rights organization in Costa Rica, where she spent two months supporting community-based advocacy. That experience, along with her studies of migration, Latin America, and the Spanish language and culture, deepened her cross-cultural perspective and commitment to the protection of equity and justice, guided by a belief in dignity and human rights for all. In her personal time, you can usually find Kami in a river fly fishing, practicing yoga, or traveling to national parks across the country with her wife, Heysell, and their labradoodle, Rio.
