Karla Schmidt Murillo.

Karla is an Associate Director of Legal Operations at Innovation Law Lab. An immigrant from Costa Rica with 25 years in the US, Karla holds a B.A. in Political Science & Spanish and Portuguese from the University of Arizona and an M.A. in International Studies from the University of Oregon. With seven years of experience in immigrant rights advocacy, she supports projects like the Equity Corps of Oregon to ensure every immigrant Oregonian has access to due process. Driven by her own experience as an immigrant, Karla is passionate about advancing justice and resource accessibility for immigrant communities.
