Natalie Lerner.

Natalie joined Innovation Law Lab in Fall 2025 as an OWR Fellow Attorney. Natalie grew up in Portland and is committed to promoting immigrant justice in the state she calls home. Prior to law school, Natalie worked in Dilley, Texas, as a paralegal supporting detained immigrant families, and at Causa, as a manager for the statewide Oregon Ready coalition. During law school, Natalie interned at the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, the CLEAR Clinic, and the Center for Gender and Refugee Studies. Natalie is a co-founder of the Asylum Seeker Solidarity Collective, which organizes with and supports recently arrived asylum seekers in the Portland area and she also serves on the board of the Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition (PIRC), where she is deeply engaged in rapid response organizing. When she is not working, Natalie likes playing recreational soccer, gardening, reading, and walking around with her incorrigible dog.
