Law Lab represents people in court and in immigration cases. Our lawyers and accredited representatives offer legal services at Community Legal Clinics. For lawyers and advocates, we provide fellowship opportunities, technical assistance on complex legal questions, service offers expert legal technical assistance to attorneys, nonprofit staff, criminal defenders, and others assisting immigrant clients. We offer case-specific consultations on immigration law and practice. We provide trainings to lawyers on immigration law and practicing immigration law.

We represent individuals for free in court and before immigration agencies to advance access to justice.

• Clinical Services. Law Lab sponsors daily immigration legal clinics for members of Equity Corps of Oregon.

  • Open Clinic. A weekly in-person clinic at the ECO Zone providing representation in completing and filing applications for work authorization, changes of address, motions and applications before the immigration agencies, and needs assessments.

  • Asylum Workshop & Clinic. An in-person workshop led by a lawyer and trained professionals that trains up to 25 individuals per workshop on how to submit their application for asylum. Individuals complete their applications during the workshop and are prepared for same-day or next day filing with the immigration court or agency. The workshop takes place several times each week.

  • Clinical services are available to members of Equity Corps of Oregon.

• Full-Service Provider. Law Lab is a full service provider of direct immigration legal services and offer a full range of immigration legal services through Equity Corps of Oregon.

  • Services include lawyers to represent individuals with family visa petitions, consular processing, crime victim visas (U & T visas), asylum & protection, deportation defense, citizenship and naturalization, special petitions for juveniles and vulnerable populations, parole, and more. Our team represents income-eligible individuals on matters ranging from DACA cases to complex removal defenses.

  • We work with unaccompanied minors, asylum-seeking families, students and their families, people detained in immigration facilities, and both newcomer and long-term residents.

  • We represent our clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the immigration courts (EOIR), the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), the district courts, the Courts of Appeal, the U.S. Supreme Court and the Oregon courts.

  • Innovation Law Lab’s team is made up of nationally recognized legal experts in detained and non-detained removal defense, crimmigration, asylum, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, DACA, and complex affirmative-based relief.

  • Direct representation through the full-service program is available to members of Equity Corps of Oregon.

  • Equity Corps of Oregon (ECO) provides funding to the Oregon State Bar and Oregon Worker Relief to sustain universal representation services. A statewide call center (1-888-274-7292) operates Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–6:00 pm, to assist with enrollment, case updates, and legal provider referrals. Through collaborative representation and innovative technology, ECO works to ensure every eligible Oregonian can defend against unjust deportations.
